S. E. Cupp's Idiocy
I spoke too soon. As soon as she opened her mouth and she started talking, I wanna punch her in the face. Like when someone's being very stupid and you're trying to correct them and they continue and rub the stupidity in your face...
I read this article by Chris Kelley, writer for Real Time with Bill Maher: S.E.Cupp will not be silenced and/or Fact Checked and I was relieved. It wasn't just me. I wasn't the only one super-annoyed at the pretentious woman who takes the atheists' name in vain.

Pinoys on Condoms and Ignorance
So what does he get in return? Sure there are those who support his actions. But mostly, they're criticizing him. And the most interesting of all, they filed a case against him for promoting condoms!
"In an interview, Imbong said it was only right that the government should use its powers to safeguard the moral environment of its citizens."WTF? Sometimes I am really amazed at how ignorant and hypocritical some people can be. OK, enough with pleasantries...That's just plain stupid!!!
Safeguard the moral environment of its citizens? So they're better off with contracting STD's, HIV, teens getting pregnant and being forced to be parents when they should be studying? Morality? Using condoms goes against morality?
It's also funny how they said the ad showed explicit messages. Found the video, watch and decide.
So now, Mr. Padilla responded by saying He wasn't wearing it at that time. Ha ha.
There you go! Shouldn't this be the focus and not the crap that the church has been telling the people all along? Come on! Enough with the nonsense and time to get real!"On a more serious note, however, Padilla pointed out that the country’s problems in health and education is mainly due to its increasing population. The problems will increase further, he said, the more we grow in number. “Ang daming mga bata, wala naman kinabukasan (There are a lot of children [who] have no future],” he said. His support for population control, according to Padilla, is the reason why he decided to endorse Trust condoms. "Ako ang nag-apply dun. Kapitbahay ko si Jojo, yung may-ari ng DKT (I applied for [that advertisement]. The owner of DKT, Jojo, is my neighbor).”
Full Metal Alchemist
I have been watching Full Metal Alchemist for days now. Started with 'Dre asking me if I could find him FMA vids. Of course I said I'd find some. I always do. Kinda arrogant huh..
Anyways, so I found the whole series. Since there's nothing interesting on air these days, I started watching it. I'm not fond of animes, mind you. I just wanna find out what the fuzz is about. I liked it!! There's a lot of science talk, it being about alchemy and all. A lot of chemistry stuff I've mostly forgotten.
As I continue watching- episode 42 now, I've seen how it keeps revolving around science, monotheism and even pantheism. The continuing battle and conflict with science and god. In episode 28 titled "All is One, One is All", Ed and Al were left in the island to find the meaning to that phrase, they realized we are all part of this world.
I'm almost done with the series. I'd write a full review after that. For now, FMA rocks!!

shitload of files
Time for spring cleaning then. Delete or Cut and Paste to D which has another 250 gig.
And now it wont' finish moving its ass to the other location. It's going way too slow. Like it's punishing me or something...Damn files!
On the other hand, I haven't stop blogging (here and there) since then. Had to use the laptop while the PC does its slow-motion moving. Gave me an excuse to start writing again. I know I want to, I'm just lazy sometimes.
120 minutes remaining. WTF am I supposed to do for two hours at 3:50 in the morning?

Synthetic Genes
Scientists create a living organism
PZ Myers has more on this.
More from CNN:
They created a cell, not a life. So before you go screaming and hiding, read the cnn report again. So it's the first living self-replicating cell that we have on the planet whose DNA was made chemically and designed in the computer.
So it has no genetic ancestors. Its parent is a computer.
Well not yet. Scientists are optimistic that there's that possibility, in the near future. I hope I get to see that.
Vatican says it's interesting. They are for genetic engineering, for treating diseases. But don't go near the embryonic stem cells and you'll be trouble with them.
Duh!

Here's one video: The Lost Gospels
I have to watch this and thank goodness I found it again.
And another: Richard Dawkins on Harun Yahya’s Atlas of Creation
I always enjoy watching Richard Dawkins' talks. His wit and humor is impressive.
Another one: Turek vs. Hitchens Debate: Does God Exist?
Turek vs. Hitchens Debate: Does God Exist? from Andrew Ketchum on Vimeo.
I wasn't gonna talk about this...
And it's always the same conclusion: Those who are the loudest are the those who have the most to hide. Hypocrites will be exposed, sooner or later.
"The miserable in-denial lying in your own sex lives is your own miserable in-denial lying business unless you make it the country's business by crusading against the thing that is true about yourself that you hate so much.
Being gay cannot be cured. Being a contemptible pathetic hypocrite can be cured."-- Rachel Maddow --
Ain't she cute? Interestingly, if I'd ever be a lesbian, she'd be the one I'd want to make out with. (TMI? Sorry 'bout that.) :)

Science Blogging
I have new reading obsessions: The Frontal Cortex and Brain Posts.
A month ago, I read this post about Gay animals. Who wouldn't be interested in this? I wonder what the homophobes out there are gonna call this?
My favorite part of the whole article is this:
"The more complex and sophisticated a social system is," she writes, "the more likely it is to have homosexuality intermixed with heterosexuality."
"Nevertheless, most biologists continue to regard homosexuality as a sexual outlier. According to evolutionary theory, being gay is little more than a maladaptive behavior.""Joan Roughgarden, a professor of biology at Stanford University, wants to change that perception. After cataloging the wealth of homosexual behavior in the animal kingdom two years ago in her controversial book Evolution's Rainbow--and weathering critiques that, she says, stemmed largely from her being transgendered--Roughgarden has set about replacing Darwinian sexual selection with a new explanation of sex. For too long, she says, biology has neglected evidence that mating isn't only about multiplying."
Isn't that enlightening? Those scientists have a point don't they?
Now consider this comment from a reader:
"I think one reason for 'gay' animals might be that animals are horny and stupid.
A bored dog will have a bash at humping a cat*. A dog humping another male dog is not that much different. I've seen a few human-leg-osexual dogs in my time too."
He/She also has a point, eh?
Ah, science... That's what makes it all interesting...
